what do you do to get activesync to mork?

I just rec'd my e 7-40 & installed the software per instruc. It says "active sync not installaed, try installing again" I then went to microsoft's web site & downloaded their version.. still no luck. Is this problem unusual or am i missing something simple like a re-boot? (whichI did try with the 1st install)... :?

Use the Version 3.5 that came on the disk. I tried v3.6 (from MS's website) first and it wouldn't recognize my device. I installed off the CD and haven't had a problem since!

I've since heard similar stories from others who tried the upgrade to 3.6 after using 3.5 - they ended up going back to it.
