I have been searching the forum for a few days to find an answer. I didn't see it posted anywhere, but I apoligize if I am repeating a question previously answered here.
I just got a 3970, and I ordered a memplug dual cf slot expansion module.
Does anyone know for sure any good cases that work with this dual cf pack?

i think you don't have to buy a new case, just take the original ipaq screen protector and put it up on your memplug, it works exactly the same like the original ipaq case HP give you.

Thanks, That is one of the reasons I bought this sleeve, but I wanted something a little more shock absorbing with the ability to use a belt clip. I like the style and price of the Iholsters, but they leave the back of the unit open to scuffs and scratches and don't offer any protection if the ipaq should fall out of your hands. I have never had my jornada fall to the ground, but I don't want to have any regrets. There is always a first time.
I have been looking at some of the cases from krussel that are designed to work with a sleeve, but this sleeve is a little thinner and the unit would have to be removed from the case to gain access to the side cf slot.
I was just wondering what cases other people have tried out with this unit. Even if they had to do some modifying, I am not afraid to do a little altering.

I bought a Galanteya H3 leather case for my 3955 with dual CF Memplug. Its only $30.00 shipped and is nice quality and fits well (just slightly loose because the iPaq CF sleeve designed for is a tiny bit larger). I was going to cut a slot in the side for the second CF slot, but decided against doing so since I'm leaving the same 256CF card always in there, but a cut slot would work ok, especially for modifying such an inexpensive case. I like the case because the iPaq is nearly totally enclosed for protection and the belt model comes an especially secure clip feature (supplied by the iMount people).

Thanks for the pics and tips. I had looked at the Slider model of the memplug, but it is a rather spendy modification albeit fine craftsmanship.
GM does beautiful work no doubt, But the Galentaya looked pretty good for the price.
Thanks to all.

it's intresting that you care for the nicks and scuff for your ipaq, i mean after trying so many cases, i still end up with nicks and scuff, maybe because while i use the touchscreen, my watches give the ipaq scuff at the side, well now i get fed up with all this cases, they make ipaq very bulky, so i accept the fact that i will scracth the ipaq one day for sure..

I guess I know that it will get nicked and scratched at one point or another, but I would like to keep it as new looking as possible for as long as I can since I did buy it new. I will be very upset the first time it gets marred, but after I calm down all will go well from there without any more tantrums over scratches.
A little off the subject, but I don't buy new cars for this very reason.
You spend 20-40 thousand on a new vehicle and the kids leave a crayon to melt on the seat or forget a drink from mcD's in the cup holder and you don't notice it until after it seeps through the wax lining of the cup. It's just not worth the stress and aggrevation. I always buy slightly used cars, at nearly half the price and they usually come with some nice stains or scratches built in so you don't freak out when you get any more. OK I still go crazy, just not as much.
