WHOA! 8O

I've been waiting for an App like this ever since I saw PhoenixStudio on a Casiopeia PocketPC (it was never ported to ARM or XScale Processors).

I wonder how it will compare to Griff... Looks cool though! 8)

It doesn't look like these guys are actually related to the full Acid in any way. At least Sonic Foundry doesn't seem involved. I wonderif Sonic Foundry even knows that they've done this, and if not I'd they'll get in a bit of trouble over the product name...

Still, it's cool to see more music apps coming to the Pocket PC.

Right.. How many cool music apps *are* there for PocketPC? None. It's a crying shame considering how perfect PPC would be for a musician. To be able to write down the music as soon as it hits to you is essential.

It's just like me when I'm drawing. I never get any inspirations when I have to sit down to my desktop computer. Nice cafeteria, a cup of coffee and relaxed atmosphere, that's where I do my best works.

I've been waiting for the upcoming Atari ST emulator so I could use some of its SoundTrackers to produce music. This, ofcourse, would be much, much better.

There's Griff (but it's overpriced, and has a plugin system with almost no free plugins) and PhoenixStudio. There IS PhoenixStudio for ARM - otherwise I'd have no clue how I was able to try it out?

Looking at it, there IS ARM support, it's not officially supported though.

I can't wait until this program comes out!

Nifty! But it's a shame it doesn't seem to do MIDI.

Are there any notation programs available for Pocket PC, like a pocket version of Finale?

It's funny that their calling it Acid when it seems more like a clone of Propellerheads Rebirth. Acid is based on sample playback, not analog synth and drum machine modeling.

I'd still love to get my hands on it. I have Griff but I never got used to the user interface.

Sorry to hear about that. We've got a tutorial up on the website now that may help you: http://www.planetgriff.com/tutorial/index.html

Anyone have any idea what happened to these guys. The web site doesn't even let you in any more.

Looks like they've been forced to change the name already - it's now called PocketJam:

Jaytrax for PPC doesn't directly support MIDI, but Jaytrax for PC (for PC it's free) supports MIDI importing.
