Can e310 connected to laptop with activesync access network files?

First of all... W?BIC!
I have the laptop set up as name laptop in the workgroup mshome. It's running Windows XP home and has the hard drive shared as Cshared.
After connecting my e310 to it with activesync, I tried File Explorer and tried opening //laptop/cshared/ but failed to gain access. Any one with experience doing this, or someone who can just plain tell me it won't work? :3

it can't work.

you can't get on the network while connected through activesync. you need an actual network connection - ie through a wireless card or sleeve. none of this is available for your e310 yet, so it can't work.
