it just occurred to me that if ipaqs can have a sleeve for CF cards like the silver slider, why cant the TMo pocket pc?

why doesnt HTC make the driver for this (is it that different than the ipaq)? has anyone tried an ipaq to TMo connector adaptor to see if it would work with the sleeve???

I've been holding off on buying the XDA, mainly out of fear of a world without accessories. This "Universal Accessory Adapter iPaq3600 to O2 xda" sounds nifty, but I think it's for serial/USB host devices only, not for any kind of iPaq sleeves. The phrase "you can use ALL of your iPaq 3600 or 3700 series accessories with your 02 XDA PocketPC Phone" is a little misleading.

Hey, do you see the picture on that "DOML" page of the XDA next to the Stowaway? I didn't know that the XDA was that big! Just kidding.

That's a little pricey for the adapter, here's one for only $19

I doubt we'll see the "sleeve" for these designs, at least I don't think that HTC is going to manufacture them. Perhaps this is an opportunity for a 3rd party vendor?!!!! A challenge will be the form-factor of the unit's body... while it is similar to an iPAQ, it has curved corners. That might create a headache when trying to design a sleeve that would fit well... in other words, you can see that sleeves were not necessarily in the scheme of things.

Instead, I would anticipate future models having even more built-in functionality: SDIO slots, BlueTooth, and (as seen with the Falcon (http://www.phonescoop.com/phones/phone.php?id=242)), built-in GPS.
Maybe we'll see built-in WiFi as well (that's me wishing!).

Now, a device that I DO see having a sleeve will be the (yet to be announced) iPAQ 5600 series. Preliminary photos show it to be nearly identical to the 5400, which would mean that all existing sleeves would work on it.
