axim back up battery

i just got my dell like 5 days ago and it says my back up baterry is down to 90%????? why does this go down if my main battery has been fully charged? also when my back up battery goes down fully do i have to buy a new one?

This is happening to all of them. I don't know if anyone knows why yet. Sometimes the reading goes back up to 100%. I've never had mine read lower than 80%, and I've had mine for a month or so.

I think the consensus is that there is a flaw in the reading of the backup battery charge, not in the actual backup battery. HOPEFULLY it doesn't also indicate that the link to the battery is also flawed when it's in use, such as when changing out the battery. But I haven't heard of anyone having a problem with it yet.

My experience pretty much mirrors kati42. I've seen the backup go down as low as 80% but it always goes back to 100%.

Same thing for me. Low of 80%, high 100% for no apparent reason.

I have been Jinxed! I had no problems with my back-up battery at all...until...someone mentioned it! Now it goes from 0%-100% randomly! 8O

It usually stays at 100% but, twice in the past day it has said 0% and given me the low back-up battery warning message. :cry:
