GET ORGANIZED, NOT INTIMIDATED BY TECHNOLOGY WITH NEW OREGON SCIENTIFIC PDA

Tualatin, OR - (January 1, 2003) - Personal communication devises are wonderful tools that can make your life very organized or very confusing if you are a techno-novice. Oregon Scientific has the answer with a new entry-level Personal Digital Assistant (PDA) that provides as much or as little assistance as you need.

The new Oregon Scientific Entry Level Organizer (Model #PDA188) is designed specifically to take the intimidation out of "a digital day timer" and puts an ideal emphasis on a perfect product for a student, homemaker on-the-go, and small business owner.

Jim Boyle, President of Oregon Scientific, said, "We've designed a product that is cost-effective, easy-to-use and extremely helpful to the average person who needs to keep track of personal appointments, school schedules, and any assignment or reminder that is important to the user. The new PDA188 is an affordable, dependable, stylish, user-friendly product that can be all you'll ever need, or a starter model to give experience before more advanced operations."

The new PDA188 has a large easy-to-read LCD touch-screen, 256K non-volatile flash memory and has plenty of storage with up to 384K characters available through its compression data technology.

"Basically, the two main functions of the Oregon Scientific PDA188 are for personal scheduling and contact lists. Several other features can be utilized, but we've made this PDA so that the primary functions are very user-friendly, reliable and fundamentally operational," Boyle explained.

The contact folder on the PDA188 is formatted in three partitions for categorizing the personal telephone directory and address book, which makes contacts quick and easy to locate.

A monthly calendar, individual day or full week viewing option is available so that the user can see a plan for the day, week and month. The PDA188 handles date and time schedules, reminder alarm for an important appointment or special occasion, date and time, and note pages for memos, grocery lists, "to-do" lists, and tasks.

Other features of the PDA188 include, a calculator with percentage calculation and memory, a foreign currency converter to and from US dollars, time display, a world time clock for a particular foreign city, and synchronization to any PC with smooth data transfer to such programs as Microsoft Outlook and Goldmine .

The new PDA188 joins the Oregon Scientific Personal Information Products that features a variety of voice recorders and digital cameras.
