I would like a landscape utility for my pocket pc for use in pocket ie. NVD is the nicer program, but it is $20, $10 more that JS Landscape. Are there any other landscape utilities out there. What are your thoughts on the two programs?

Try the demos, make sure they work on your device.
That said, Nyditot gets my vote despite the fact it's not working 100% on the Axim.

Unless I'm doing something wrong, I don't like either. NVD does load better than JL. I have an Ipaq3955.

i've been using the nyditot demo on my t-mobile and its ok -- they need a resolution between 320x240 and 640x480 (i dont think there was one). they also need to make it so you can switch between portrait 240x320 and landscape on the fly. having to close my internet connection and restart when i come across some good reading on the web is a pain.

i came across another program though with a trial demo:

haven't used it yet...

Well, you can set it to -any- custom resolution you want and then save that setup as a custom view on the pulldown menu, so that's not a problem at all. You just type in the height and width values. As for restarting to switch to landscape, there's not much that can be done about it the way I understand it. It's just something that has to be lived with for now. You can however switch from portrait to landscape without restarting, you just have to use a pretty poor looking screen stretch. For example, 320x240 landscape squished at 240x320 portrait. Or 240x320 portrait stretched at 320x240 landscape.

Rirath, can you be a bit more specific on how this didn't work 100% on your Axim? I have an Axim X5. I want to try this out. I think JS Landscape 3 is alright, but I find it makes my Axim run slow. I was looking for an alternative. Actually, I was looking for a landscape browser, and haven't found one yet.

JS Landscape 2 would actually cause my Axim to crash, forcing me to have to do a hard reset. I don't want to have to do that with NVD. Thanks.

Yeah, just read this:

The complete and total lack of support is what really burns me.
