Other than Avantgo, has anyone used anything else to view webpages?

You can use the default built in PocketIE or you can use ThunderHawk. Here a links to reviews of both:

Built in capabilities: http://www.pdajunkie.net/wirelessinetppc.htm

ThunderHawk: http://www.pdajunkie.net/thunderhawk.htm

I've been using NetFront 3.0. It's pretty nice. It supports just about everything. Pages look good. Fairly inexpensive.

How does net front compare to IE in terms of speed andpage formatting?

I've been using it for a few days now (not much, I know), but the pages have been loading faster then with PIE, and it seems to support all of the current web technology. I haven't tried any applets or whatnot, but it is suppost to support them. As for DHTML, CSS, etc... it seems to be great.

Here is a comparison:

Good LuckI have not been able to get Netfront to work for me - I keep getting a DNS error - has anyone else encountered this? I'd love to ditch PIE... :D

I am also getting DNS error messages with Netfront although IE is working fine on my wireless LAN. I have disabled the dial-up feature and am not using a proxy server.

I have a Dell Axim with a Symbol CF card.

ThunderHawk is not available for the Axim X5 yet. I downloaded their trial and the install program told me that my PPC isn't supported yet. Besides, $49.99 per year... seems kind of steep. I guess it's because they pipe it through their servers first.

I've used Mazingo.

I tried Mazingo, and loved it for the content. However, it really messed with my PPC - Notes, NoteM, and Pocket Excel all stopped working post-installation. It also froze my PPC up a lot. If you can get it to work bug free, I highly suggest using it...more (and more interesting) content than AvantGo.

The only problem I have is that sometimes it freezes after synchronization. I switched it to only synchronize when I tell it to, and haven't had a problem since....
