I am very confident that these three PocketPC's are essentially the same machine:
The Mitac Mio 338, Packard Bell PocketGear 2030, and Medion PocketPC.

They all look very similar, weigh 120 grams and sport SD-ports.
The Prices are very similar too, around 300$ minuis taxes.
Medion in known for using excisting hardware and putting their name on it (I heard they also made a Visor Prism with their name on it).

The Mitac Mio 338 has the same "problem" of the system running i RAM, so you only get 36MB for applications. Just like the new Ipaq.

I have not found ANYTHING concerning the Medion PocketPC, except that 2 local hardware stores now carry it (see picture I scanned today):

around 300€, bodes well for the introductory prices of the Dell and Ipaq 1910.
Dell will definitly want to underwrite these prices despite having faster processor and strataflash rom instead of NAND.
We might get a straight dollar to euro conversion despite the fact that taxes are included in the price(meaning the machines might actually be around a fifth cheaper then in the US).

Heh maybe Americans will want to import theyre Axim´s from Europe in that case since sales tax does not apply for exports :)

not only does it look like the view sonic, the 200e also has 36MB of usable RAM, just like the viewsonic!

I just went and bought the Medion PDA, and I must say it is excellent, a review is coming up.
The screen is transflective and just as good as the one on the Ipaq 3970 I compared it to, but smaller of cause.

I am convinced that Mitac has developed the device because the specifications are identical to the Mitac Mio 338 and some of the preinstalled software has pictures of another PocketPC by Mitac (the 538). Mitac seems to make a lot of hardware like LCD-screens and mottherboards, but I have not heard of them before.

There is no mistaking when you compare these pictures, that I have taken, with the ones of the Mitac:

I thought I let you know that the Yakumo Delta (http://www.yakumo.de/produkte/index.php?pid=1&ag=PDAs) sold in Germany since mid-December by Vobis (http://web.vobis.de/is-bin/INTERSHOP.enfinity/eCS/Store/de/-/EUR/DisplayProductInformation-Short;sid=8q3nnJPzrA_nnK3sn7w-xfWX0JeTHMrXBM4=?ProductID=mLTZWWZlyAMAAADx6ESzErrl&xyz=%23xyz%23), a retail chain, for €333 is also another clone of the Mitac Mio338.
