Over on Brighthand there is a thread that has evolved into a discussion on the HP Roadmap as presented to their customers.
http://discussion.brighthand.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=67496 (See pages 2 & 3)
I don't know how this relates to non-disclosure, but what they are saying is not encouraging. Sounds kind of dull. Has HP lost it's vision for the PPC?

Just because DELL has entered the fray is no reason to let them lead in any but price!

There is that h2000 people was talking about couple months back. It could be h1910 tho'

personally, if they can squeeze more memory (64/128mb) to h1910, 3/400mhz that can be throttled down manually to 100mhz, SD/IO than , and give it a sleeve system.

It will be the ultimate new iPAQ line. They can call it iPAQ version 2.0.

The Ipaq h2000 is just the European version/name of the h1910. No differences I believe

What is being said is that there will not be an upgrade for the 1910. There will be a 2000 Dell copycat (Box with SD and CF slots). There will probably NOT be a 5600 GSM version of the 5400 (Unless a US phone company wants to sponsor it).

This is not market leadership.

This is a roadmap to oblivion.

They need to go with the Mobile Media Companion concept I've been trying to sell them on. Forget all this PIM crap. Just make it a device to record/copy/edit/playback any content you want on multiple platforms (TV, stereo, presenter, PC) and make it like WinXP where it will automatically connect to open APs so you can get free internet the way Steve Balmer does when he travels.

RIAA/MPAA/Rule of Law be damned!!!!
