Has anyone chosen to buy the keyboard offered by datanywhere.com?

http://datanywhere.net/Merchant2/merchant.mv?Screen=PROD&Store_Code=DI&Product_Code=XD-STW&Category_Code=XDOTH,

And if so...how has your experience been with the keyboard? Is this the type of device you would recommend? How distracting are the keystrokes...is it something you could bring into a meeting without fear of distracting others?

Thanks in advance

The ONLY reason why I have not purchased this keyboard yet is because I am interested in waiting on the market. I want to see if they are going to release that ultra-thin keyboard as they did for Palm.

Link: www.thinkoutside.com released it for Palm. If they don't release it here in about a month or two for the PPCPE I will purchase the O2 one.

With that being said; and to answer your question, I had a Jornada and I had the Stowaway keyboard for it:

Link: www.targus.com and it was really truly awesome. The keyboard was about the size of a very small book. The keys are "quiet," but they will make noise. If you tap the keys they feel "spongy" which doesn't give such a "click" noise that most keyboards are notorious for. You can here it when your typing but every time I was in a "bored  meeting" I never was told to "put it away."

Hope this helps,

I put this in the hard v soft keyboard thread:

"Here is a new keyboard that looks good:

http://www.saitek.com/uk/prod/slimline.htm

cheap too - I have seen it as low as £40"

I read somewhere that it's like typing on an
old spectrum keyboard - not sure what this
means other than it probably is silent!

One of the main problems I can see arising
is that as the keyboards get thinner, lighter
and smaller the ppcpe will cause them to tip
up if designed originally for lighter palms.

Yes, but then you would need the iPAQ adapter to make this work with the XDA/T-Mobile/MDA Pocket PC Phone. The current one available from datanywhere.net is made for the XDA/T-Mobile/MDA and the other one is a Palm keyboard that we're all hoping will be available for the XDA/T-Mobile/MDA soon. Also, I wished that it gave dimensions on how thick it is and how far it folds out. I like the round buttons and the D-Pad. That's pretty cool 8).
