About 3-4 months ago I bought a 10mbps SMC pcmcia network card for use in my ipaq 3635. It worked right out of the box using the ne2000 driver, and has been working fine ever since. Then today, I tried inserting my pcmcia network card after ejecting a memory card (as usual, when I am accessing the net/network), but this time, a message box popped up saying it found an unrecognized card in socket 1. I don't know why this happened, and I tried different ways to see if it would recognize it again, but nothing I tried worked. This has never happened before. I'm using the standard PC Sleeve. Can someone PLEASE help me fix this? I would be forever in debt to anyone who could solve this problem. Thanks in advance.
