This Thanksgiving I pulled out my wonderful device to sketch ideas of what type of replacement entry door my Grandmother might like for her house. Except there is no basic paint program on my Maestro. I had to use Notes instead.

Is there a simple free paint program for the PocketPC?

When drawing, I have the control I want on paper, other surfaces don't work for me. Getting more than a basic program would be a waste of money. I don't need 256 colors, I could get by with 8 and black and maybe line width would be I'd use.

What's cheap?

After seven Palm OS devices I bought myself a Toshiba e335 last week. My bookmarks are not yet full of PPC software sources :-)

I'm going to give Jinzo Paint a try, I think it might be closer to what I want.

I can draw well on paper, using pencil. I can't seem to do better than a scrawl on a digitizer or touchscreen. They're just not the same.

Did you like it? I've installed "NFPencil", but it seems to only let me draw on textured paper for some reason. Maybe I'm doing something wrong. I'd also like to be able to scroll to draw a picture larger than screen sized....

I just want to doodle. ;)

There are a couple of flash enabled paint programs that you can get for free. Try here (http://www.flashenabled.com/mobile/) and here (http://www.pocketpcflash.net/homefs.htm).
