Good news,
I've been able to take apart the e550G. I'll post pictures when I can. From what I can tell right now, I believe that the LCD screen is sealed! The dust could be appearing from somewhere else...though I could be wrong. I have the LCD apart now so I'll let you guys know when I make the reach final conclusion. Also to note, the LCD is somewhat transparent.
The reason I did this was two reasons:
1) What the battery form factor was for possible higher capacity replacement
2) Dust, dust, dust
It may be a day or two after Turkey day until I get the pictures up...
