Ah, the next generation CF cards are here. most of them will be memory + something else. (i've read about mem + CF , + BT, and + aircard)

Netac just released 128MB with built in mini USB plug on it. I wonder what the USB plug can do beside just transfering memory in and out.

i heard PDA's do not support USB as hosts....only clients. What does this do for the pocket-pc world...anything?

I think the USB port just means that a USB card reader in incorporated into the card for connection to a desktop PC. Not very clear with the product specs but that seems to be what it says. What a dreadful site!

I'd have thought that having a special USB to mini-USB cable for this would be just as much trouble as a plug-in card reader. :?

It's USB OTG (On The Go) specification. It seems to add some slave/master mechanism for embeded devices like phone, camera, pda etc..
