:?:

I know this is completely off topic, but there are lots of smart folks who hang out here.

Back in office 97, there used to be an add on called MS Camcorder that would allow you to record everthing that happened on your screen, mouse moving, widows resizing etc. You could use it to make little movies for training etc.

We've got WIN XP Pro at work now and I can't seem to find this feature available in XP. Tried noodling around MS site and did not find anything.

Anyone know how to do this in XP?

Thanks

Bob

There is an add-on for PowerPoint called producer.

It allows you to sync audio and / or vidio with a slide presentation. It May also do desktop recording, but I don't remember.

You can get it here if you have Office XP.

Have you tried using Camcorder on XP and found that it didn't work, or do you just not have access to an Office 97 CD?

If the former, you could try Lotus ScreenCam (http://www.lotus.com/products/screencam.nsf) (the first program I recall doing this) or ScreenWatch (http://www.screenwatch.com/).

If the latter, I have my Office 97 CD.

Check out the 9 Series Windows Media Encoder - there's a function in it for recording screen movements. Works quite well!
