Sprint also has a PPC phone edition

They dont give much info on it but it may be worth it since they have the unlimited data plan for an extra $10 dollars

They use the Toshiba Thera - it's not a true Phone Edition device because it doesn't use the correct version of the Pocket PC OS. There's no SMS support integrated into Pocket Inbox, etc. And that $10 unlimited only applies to their phones, not PDAs...at least, that's my understanding.

Now, I'll be the first to admit, the author is a little obsessed with the Treo. That being said I still wouldn't recommend the Thera

I'd avoid it. Not only is it not a full Phone Edition combo device, you need to use a head set to use it as a phone. If your phone rings, you need to pulg in your headset just to talk. Not very efficient. Try the T-Mobile. I'm evaluating one and love it. Especially when used with Neuvoice voice-activate dialer.
