ah yess.....I can smell all geek rejoice onthe possibility of making their own cell phone system. death to phone company! (well ok maybe not soon)

The only problem I can see with this is that it requires you to be near an 802.11 broadcast area, and a cellphone puts you anywhere. Sounds more like a cordless phone than a cell to me.

Ahhhhhh...sounds like cordless, but free. And free long distance is free long distance. Of course, I get that with my regular cell phone anyway, so who am I to say?

Well, free, yes, but only for 30 days. Hey, does anyone else remember the days of free phone calls via the internet, like, with Dialpad.com?
