A local retailer is selling the 568 for something like $250 with a rebate. How does it stack up against newer PPC models like the Toshiba e335 and such? Is this a PPC worth having in light of what is now (and soon to be) on the market?

$250 for a 568 is a great price, and it's a very capable unit. Other than the glorious screen on the $275 Viewsonic, the HP would be a better choice if you need the integrated CF. But oh that screen on the Viewsonic.... ;-)

...and if you're thinking of adding accessories for your Pocket PC... the ones for the HP568 are now (and will be) on sales since the model has been discontinued.

Also, since it's been around for a while (and assuming you get one made 2002) you know what potential problems you may have with it. With new models hitting the market you never know what "new features" they will include.
