Frankly, I had never been too impressed with what he's had to say in the past, since he completely <a href="http://www.pocketpcthoughts.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=2584">misunderstands how the Pocket PC Phone Edition works</a> and doesn't even know about <a href="http://www.pocketpcthoughts.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=4167">synchronizing via infrared</a>. In this case, though, he does a decent job describing the impact of Palm's latest devices on Handspring's future.<br /><br />"What are the next steps for Handspring? The company can try to ride it out or it can find a buyer. If Handspring chooses to ride it out, I wonder if its chances for survival could be improved if the company unhitched its wagon from the PalmSource horse. To do battle with Palm and Microsoft, Handspring should at the very least be equipped with a legion of developers."<br /><br />I don't really agree with other comments about the "battle" between Microsoft and Palm, but I think Dave at least appropriately describes the dire situation that Handspring is in.
