I just upgraded my ROM to 2.20. I have downloaded the latest version of Dashboard and when I install it I get the message that "Installation is not available for non-Compaq devices". The last time I checked my PDA was a 3650 iPAQ, which I believe to be a Compaq device. I also suspect that the "COMPAQ" label in red prinitng on the front of my device indicates that its a Compaq device.

Has anyone else experienced this problem, if so is there a work around?

Thanks
Gord

I've heard about this issue, and I think it's related to hp merger, but I haven't heard of a solution. Your best bet is to contact hp and see what they say...

This is the HP Support response:

"Dear hp Customer,

Thank you for contacting hp eServices.

This is with reference to your e-mail regarding the Dashboard.

This issue has been presented to our upper level engineers and is being worked as we speak. As a workaround to the issue that you are experiencing, we suggest flashing back to the 2.14 ROM and continuing to use the Dashboard version 1.2D that is available on our website. If however you do install the 2.20 ROM, you will not be able to install Dashboard. This issue will be resolved.

Please e-mail us in case of any clarifications and we would be glad to help.

Thank you,

hp eServices"
