<a href="http://www.iodata.com/products/Memory/PC4in1ADP.html">http://www.iodata.com/products/Memory/PC4in1ADP.html</a><br /><br />This is a PCMCIA II card for your laptop or iPAQ with the PCMCIA sleeve that will read SD, MMC, Memory Stick and SmartMedia. I don't know if it supports SDIO or not. It doesn't support SD Memory Card copyright protection function (I hear about this, never seen it in use), the Memory Stick MagicGate Function and the SmartMedia ID function. It is supported by Mac 8.5-9.2.1, Windows 9x, ME, 2K, XP and CE 2.0 and higher based devices. <b>dma1965</b> sent in the link and found this at Fry's for $34.95. He claims it is much faster than USB, WinXP found it and automagically mounted it as a drive and worked flawlessly in his 3870 with PCMCIA sleeve. No skips in music at all.<br /><br /><img src="http://www.pocketpcthoughts.com/images/hansberry/2002/20021010-4in1.jpg" />

Yup, used something very similar made by Toshiba except it didn't support MemoryStick.

It's definitely convenient when I want to transfer large amounts of data (like MP3s) to my SD cards. On top of that I use an Olympus C4040 which uses SmartMedia. Save battery on the camera by simply transferring pics via the PC Card slot.

I just wish it were an inexpensive as other CF-to-PCMCIA adapters have become.

I would LOVE to buy something like a memory stick - CF converter. Does such thing exist? It would be lovely to dump my pictures into my CF cards when travelling, not having to take my laptop along to do so (I dont have enough MS for all the pictures I take).

Thanks!

I saw a memory card reader recently that was USB to CF and then seemed to have a convertor for CF to some other formats (can't remember which ones). No idea if what seemed to be a CF to "others" adaptor was actually that or would only work with the main part.

Sorry - I just realised how useless and vague this post is. I'll try to find out more and get back!

Thanks to those who pointed out the Memory Stick to CompactFlash adapters!! Will buy one of this soon :)

Do note, those are both Type II CF. Probably OK for most, but having a Jornada, I'm sensitive to that.

(an aging thread, but for the record ...) The Mittoni states it is type I. (another sensitized Jornada owner)

I think this type of functionality screams for new PocketPCs to have integrated CF slots. How are you going to adapt your SD slot for a memory stick?

The Imation FlashGo (http://www.imation.com/en_US/product.jhtml?Id=IM_PRD334) has a USB to CF adaptor and then further adaptors from CF to SmartMedia, Multimedia Card, SecureDigital and Memory Stick.

No idea if the CF adaptors will work without the supplied USB adaptor but worth looking into.
