The purpose is to connect the team between the training sessions when the players play with their own clubs. Phone calls, e-mail and video clips from the coach will spur the team on to new victories.<br /><br />"Woodward sees the handheld as an ideal way to ensure that players are doing the right things when training with their own clubs, rather than as part of the national squad. The England team already make heavy use of video but before now have not had any way to get it to players quickly. ... The idea is to use the XDA for the video clips that before now have been put on tapes or CDs, and sent out to players by post."<br /><br />Sounds great! To make this work I recommend unlimited GPRS, an ActiveSync passthrough connection course and one 128 MB SD card each! (Source: Gracar and PDA Gerbil)

First obvious question. Deliver Video - for training/coaching purposes....yeah right....on that size screen - maybe they are sending SD cards out with the video on it - to get the required bandwidth.
Otherwise it must only be video messages. Have you ever seen a footy match on a pocketpc - spot the ball in the wide shots!
