How do I make it smaller .

You can convert it to a smaller file format using tools from DivX (www.divx.com) or Windows Media Video (www.microsoft.com/windowsmedia - but get the Encoder 7 not the new 9 Series)

www.projectmayo.com has a Divx player for the Pocket PC
Your Pocket PC already comes with a Windows Media Player

7 does not want to see mpeg1.

does it need to be into mpeg1 with 44 or 48 sound?

I go into envert a file the first of 3 choices then convert the 3ed into media file.
I get a error that file1.mpg is not an acceptable media file. It may have an unsupported or invalid format or may be corrupted.
Cannot find valid source plugin to support spedified source (0xC00D1B71)
enter a diff file name before continuing.
