Next generation PPC OS... when?

Okay, so Windows CE.NET 4.1 was just released. The Compact Framework is in beta and is to be included in the next iteration of Visual Studio.NET, which is supposed to come out in time for next spring when Windows.NET Server (family) is due to grace our networks.

Does this all point to a spring time release for the next generation PPC OS, running on Win CE.NET and pre-loaded with the Compact Framework?

I would think that December would be the earliest we might see something like a new PPC OS. It could come about the same time as the next generation devices like the iPAQ 5000.

Has anything heard anything more useful than "wow, that's my dream PDA" rumours about the iPAQ 5000?
