It's probably been discussed many times before, but why exactly am I giving up 10% of my desktop's CPU cycles to WCESCOMM.EXE... 100% of the time :?: (while my 3835 is cradled of course)

So that the second you change an appointment, contact, task, note, etc. it will be synced between the desktop and the Pocket PC.

This is the Windows CE Connection Manager (part of the ActiveSync application).

you could set activesync to only sync manually or when you first dock, if your computer resources are limited.

if you have the computer power, it is extremely convenient to have the all-the-time-sync going. any changes you make either to the PPC or your desktop will be automatically noted without your having to do a single thing.

Yeah, I've always thought that for idling that was pretty high - I've complained about it to the ActiveSync team, so we'll see what happens... :-)
