I just bought a new 3970 and the Gprs sleeve. I saw that the Compaq site had a service pack 1 for the sleeve...new.
So I downloaded it and followed the instructions perfectly...result a useless gprs pack !!
It switches off after a few seconds of coming on, it wont register with the ipaq and it wont even show a full charge by changing the led to green when charging for many hours.
It wount dial or receive calls it nees constant initializing to come active to just show the service providers logo...thats all. No further activity is possible. it wont register in the diagnostic tests either.
Any suggestions , I have sent emails to compaq but no reply yet !!
