View Full Version : Can you pick up e-mail using ActiveSync only?

Hi

I have an iPAQ 3850 and use ActiveSync 3.5. Is it possible to use pass through when connected to the desktop to pick up e-mail?

I have used pass through to surf the Internet. I have not installed Outlook on my laptop and do not intend to (It is a company laptop)

Yes, you can. Did you try it and it didn't work? It should - configure your email account in Inbox, and it should connect...

Hi

Well I just set up my e-mail account - all I needed was to tell the iPAQ that it was a POP account - give it my e-mail address, username and password, give it the mail server names which for BT Internet was mail.btopenworld.com for both.

I then sat the iPAQ in the cradle tapped on Inbox and it worked - amazing How about having a section on PocketPCThoughts for setting up e-mail, bluetooth connections, Infrared connections etc? One thought about what I did - does it work for the 2000 OS and ActiveSync 3.1?
