http://www.pocketpcmagic.com/penlight

as jason said: today is the birthday of phillip m. torrone. you wanna know what he's like? as they say: a picture says more than a thousand words.

first time i saw pt, i was amazed. he actually looks like this cartoon character he has up on his site. not too big, lotta black, and there's something beaming about him. what can we say? he's a flashy guy.

that's why i can imagine why he's happy with the new toy he found to play with. "Belkin has created an amazing, tiny, high quality light up stylus, with a super easy to use twist on / off action and screw off reset peg. I haven't left it on for more than an hour, so I have no idea how long the battery lasts, it looks like a standard battery, so the user can simply replace it. I hope to see more models supported of course, right now I'm using it with my HP Jornada 568. So, here's my review. I really like it, here's a link, go check it out, it's like $9 in the stores, just go get one. Works with the following models: Palm V, m130, m500, m505, m515, i705, Handspring Visor, Prism, Platinum, Pro, Neo, HP Jornada 560 Series, Sony Clie N Series, PEG-S360, Samsung 1300, Toshiba e570." click the title of this post to go to the pictures on pocket pc magic. great find, pt. after all, who uses a regular stylus, when you can have one that can be used as a "flash"light?

What's the point of this? I don't know about you, but my PDA already has a light that allows me to see the screen. I would think a light up stylus pen would only add glare to the already fully visible screen, thus making it less visible.

for black and white devices..and for people like me who need a small flash light sometimes, i like it.

I must say it is an interesting idea. I'm not sure I could find much use for though. BTW, :new-bday: to pt!

Actually, I think he's parodying the fact that pt always uses lowercase. :D

In addition to what pt said, there are times when the stylus tip forms a shadow on the screen, when it makes it difficult to see what exactly you're tapping. I'd be curious to see how this works out in those cases.

so when i need to use a black and white palm, it actually helps a bunch. i've been working on turning my old palms into belt buckles, but need to config them first.

cheers,

Yup. Not the quoted part, that's by pt. But the rest is mine, all mine. Why would you think it wouldn't be? Did I forget to make my usual spelling mistakes?

Oh, now I get it... if you drop your stylus in the dark, you clap your hands twice and it lights up so you can find it, right?
