Maybe I'm perverse (well, most certainly, since I'm writing to this PPC forum on a Powerbook), but is there a utility or other tidbit that can give my loverly new Pocket PC a vibrating alert. Like my loverly cell phone?

The vibrato in my pocket (PC) is so much more appealing than any built-in alarm sound or distorted .wav file.

Is there such a thing, or am I just pissin' in the wind?

The only thing you might find is an add-on sleeve for wireless connectivity. The vibrator is built in for alerting of new e-mail messages. Sorry, though, there's no way to do it without additional hardware.

Well, you could always buy the VoiceStream Pocket PC Phone Edition (which does have a vibrate alert) and not use the phone part !!!

Sorry, stupid idea!

Hello:)
I dont think it is a stupid idea at all for those who are entering the ppc market. If they are mainly using it for the pda functions it would still work great. Every one has their own idea of whta would make the perfect ppc and for someone that could very well be it as well
