<a href="http://www.sysadminday.com/">http://www.sysadminday.com/</a><br /><br />I didn't know there was a System Admin appreciation day, but I shouldn't be surprised I suppose - we have days for almost everyone else, so this only seems fair.<br /><br />"A special day, once a year, to acknowledge the worthiness and appreciation of the person occupying the role, especially as it is often this person who really keeps the wheels of your company turning. This appreciation day includes many system administrators: Computer Administrators, Network Administrators, Internet Administrators (webmaster), Telephone (PBX) Administrators, Voice-Mail Administrators, <br />Database Administrators (DBA), Email System Administrators, Mainframe Systems Programmers ("sysprogs")."<br /><br />In honour of SysAdmins everywhere, I give you...<a href="http://www.salmondays.tv/">Salmon Days!</a> (hilarious content, but not suitable for anyone under age 18).

I just paid a buck to watch the new episode, and it was hilarious! The mockery of marketing fluff is something near and dear to my heart...

I think my users made me a big present this years... Everyone is gone for the week end already.... I've been able to clean my desk and my office for the first time in months!

I was blessed with a box of donuts and free lunch! I'm glad I sent that email out to my co-workers yesterday :).

I was blessed with a box of donuts and free lunch! I'm glad I sent that email out to my co-workers yesterday :).

I was blessed with an extremely long morning (7 hours w/o a break), a weird system slowdown that defies explanation and an impromptu phone conference that interrupted my lunch...business as usual.

I'm not really upset about what I didn't get, I'm more upset that a manager who manages programmers and business analysts got a hug. Managers can go their own day!
