For some reason it isn't at the US site but New Zealand. It is the English update though, so if you have any other language version E-200s, you should wait until those ROMs have been made available.<br /><br />Some of the bigger fixes include:<br />• Fixes a problem that causes the system to lock up (requiring full reset) when playing movie files with certain movie player applications.<br />• Though not explicitly stated, this seems to include all EUU1 updates.<br />• Fixes a problem that causes noise to be generated in some audio data. <br />• Fixes a problem that prevented proper operation using some modem cards in combination with the optional PC Card Unit.

What's not so nice is the instruction to do a hard reset before installing the update:

"&lt;&lt; Installing CASSIOPEIA E-200 UpdateFile 1.30R >>

o Make sure that ActiveSync is installed on your computer before starting.

o Prepare the cradle and AC adaptor.

o Remove the card, disconnect options, etc.

1. Perform a full reset on your Pocket PC. :(
If there is any important data in Pocket PC memory that you want to retain,
be sure to back it up before performing the full reset.
In the case of PIM data, first save the data using the ActiveSync
synchronization function. Create copies of other files using ActiveSync
Explorer. Do not use the ActiveSync backup/restore functions to backup
and restore the data.

2. Connect the AC adaptor to your Pocket PC.

3. Connect the cradle to your PC, and set the Pocket PC onto the cradle.
You can connect to ActiveSync as a Guest, if you want.

4. On the [Software List] menu on the CD-ROM, click the [Install] button
corresponding to your language for the usable device type.

5. Follow the instructions that appear on your computer screen.
It takes up to about five minutes to transfer all of the data, and about an
additional two minutes or so for your Pocket PC to prepare for further
operation. Wait until the transfer and preparation processes are finished
before continuing with this procedure.

6. After your Pocket PC completes its preparation process , there will be
12 files in a folder named "My Device\temp\", and an item named
"ROM update" on the Start menu. Display the Start menu and tap
"ROM update" to start the ROM update process. When the message
shown below appears, click [Yes] to start the ROM update.
It takes up to about 5 minutes to complete this process. Do not touch
any buttons while this process is being performed.

ROM update
The ROM of your Pocket
PC is about to be
updated. When you are
ready to continue, click
[Yes] to start ROM
updating.

7. After the above step is complete, the confirmation message shown
below will appear. Read the message and then click [Yes].

ROM update
The ROM Update operation takes about five minutes.
Never interrupt the ROM Update operation after it has started.
Never reset the CASSIOPEIA or disconnect the AC adaptor
while the ROM Update operation is being performed.

OK to start the ROM Update operation?
Yes No

Note
Be sure to use the AC adapter for power during these processes. The
message below appears if the AC adapter is not connected.

AC Adapter Not Connected
Connect the AC adapter.

Note
You can perform this ROM update only once.
The following message appears if you try to update a Pocket PC that has
already been updated or a Pocket PC that otherwise cannot be updated.

Improper Pocket PC
This Pocket PC cannot be
updated for some reason.

8. Your CASSIOPEIA will start a reset operation automatically after
installation is complete.
Follow the instructions that appear on the screen to complete the setup
operation."

A week or two ago, I posted a message in the long -- over 400 posts -- "E-200 Corner (http://www.pocketpcminds.com/showthread.php?postid=2277#post2277)" thread over at Pocket PC Minds asking what a number was that appeared in a dialog box. I theorized that it could be a revision number of some sort. The release notes for the v1.3 ROM update confirm that's exactly what it is.

I should also note that my 7BA series E-200, which I got direct from Casio over four months ago, apparently shipped to me with this ROM version preinstalled. (The 7BA is one of the series that Casio shiped to people who've had sidelights burn out.)
