Oh my.....ohhhhhhhhhhhh my! 8O This looks like the year Serial ATA will finally hit...now I'm just curious to see what sort of performance gains we'll see from the drives designed for it.

What is the significance of Serial ATA? What does Serial ATA get me over...whatever I have now...

Basically, from what I've read in magazine articles about Serial ATA, it will allow for massive increases in throughput once it gets to the 2.0 level.
