Overall, he seems quite impressed with the camera. The sample image he has included looks a little on the poor side, but with no flash you'll need a fair amount of light for a decent photo. It's not the 1.3M camera she reviewed it is the 640x480 version. Same res as the HP camera. I was pleased to read that the SW does support saving to the external memory slot. (HP's software does not).

It would be interesting to see if an HP camera worked with the Pretec software (Why? save to memory card and video).

incidentally the one she reviewed is Handheld Canada part #PR0026 (in Stock) I expect you could edit Jason's affiliate link and give him credit for that one as well :)

Sven is right, the unit I bought was indeed the 300k Pixel one, not the 1.3 mega pixel one.

One thing Sven did not get right though, is my gender. I'm not a "she", thank you very much. :roll:

By the way, I've uploaded another picture taken by the camera on the same thread over at pdabuzz.com's forum. This one is taken in the morning, with better lightinng conditions. See for yourselves.

Sorry Jason, didn't mean to mislead you. Although, if you'll remember, I did say the review only had some information pertaining to the 1.3 Megapixel camera.

Also, Pretec told me they would ship the 1.3 megapixel version in Mid-July.

I preordered and can't wait!
