I did a mini-review here a few weeks ago where I called it a "supplement to Windows Media's editor." Well, no longer. It is a full replacement for it! For me the killer new additions are the ability to sort songs by file date and move items around in bulk within a playlist. The date sort is important because if you use Windows Media Player on the desktop to copy playlists over, it changes the date stamp as they move over. So, load those songs into a CEPlaylist, sort by date and PRESTO! Your playlist now is in the same order as your desktop. Side note: It is so lame that WMP only transfers the contents of a playlist over and not the playlist itself. If you copy them by some other means, then it uses the order they were ripped from the CD, which is how I listen to 99% of my music, the way the artist compiled it.

So, what else is new?
• Added significant network enhancements for wireless and wired networks, including the ability to map network drives.
• Added ability to stop the initial Library build operation so that preferences can be changed at program startup.
• Added Artist and Album info to the Search results data.
• Rewrote entire section that allowed changing song tags by album. Now possible to stop in the middle of lengthly updates and restart later.
• Made error processing and exception handling much more robust. Allow 'retries' when file access errors occur.
• Cleaned up many user notification dialogs.

If you are at all serious about listening to lots of music on your Pocket PC, you must try this application.
