sluggish performance on ipaq after installing ppc2k2 sp1

i have an ipaq 3760 and after installing several updates ( sp1 ppc2k2,
driver updates, sound updates, from compaq) the ipaq is slow, specially when
i do a soft reset, it takes about 10 seconds to show me the today screen,
what can do about it?

I'm noticing the same thing on my 3870. I've been told the forthcoming ROM patch will address this issue. I hope... :?

any official release date for ipaq rom? ive heard is supposed to be released on june 24th.
