When, oh when, will we ever see PocketQuicken for the PocketPC?? One that syncs nicely with Quicken on the desktop?

I've been waiting years for Intuit to get on it.

I believe that it will take the release (hopefully) of PocketQuicken to finally make the PocketPC platform completely creditable, at least for broad personal use. Its just about there now, but PocketQuicken would push it over the top.

US$49.95 !!! That is over NZD$100, I could go out anf buy MS Money for this, do all it does and more on my laptop and use the simple, and included, software already available.

When will these guys learn that most people with a PPC have a Laptop or Desktop machine to sync with, and that as a result the PPC is not their main computing platform,

Don't get me wrong the software looks great, but paying that much simply send me running for cover.

So does this have advantages over, say, Pocket Money? I'm just developing a need (okay, a want) for a money-tracking app for my Casio E125, where I can input my expenditures on the road and sync them with my desktop. Tracking credit card usage would be nice too. Should I try this new software, hold out for Pocket Quicken, or just go with MS Money?

It looks FAR more advanced than Pocket Money - it supports graphing, etc. So if you're looking for a stand alone solution that doesn't need to sync with a desktop component, this looks like a pretty slick app.

I have Cash Organiser Deluxe - and can see no reason why anyone would want to keep their personal accounds on anything else but a PDA! It is always with me - I deon't have to boot up unything to input a transaction - heck I can do it at the time I spend the money! Microsoft Money PC version is horrible, Money PPC is lightweight and not worth using. £35 is not a lot to spend these days and it has more than earned its keep! OK it could be cheaper - but it is well written quick and easy to use and doesn't hog the memory either.

griph is right top to bottem. Cash Organizer is my best reason for having a PDA.

Cash Organizer is so good that I abandoned Quicken (and its nag messages) altogether. I have all my financial information at hand. You never need to risk data loss during syncing (syncing MS Money for pocket PC has absolutely murdered my data several times), because you don't need to bother with syncing at all. Cash Organizer has its own backup program.

What can it do that Quicken cannot? How about exporting data as an Excel file. That is large and allows complete control of data and reports. The native report generator also works great.

I enter my transactions into Cash Organizer instead of into a checkbook ledger. I enter credit card transactions directly also at point of purchase or soon after. When I receive a bank statement, I can have it reconciled before I leave the bank parking lot.

Cash organizer does splits and shows check numbers in the ledger (PoQuick does neither).

If Pocket Quicken comes out, it will have a tough time being as robust as Cash Organizer.

Cash Organizer is a bit pricey, but it is just about the most useful program that I use.

does it export data to tax software (TaxCut, TurboTax etc) during tax season?

Just use a spreadsheet - it's built-in ;-)

I am using Cash Organizer for two days. My first impressions are that Cash Organizer is a great piece of software. It is far better than Pocke Money. Its main advantage is that it works as a standalone application, thus giving us flexibility. It has also a built-in backup and restore tool. It offers an export to qif file option, so you can import the data to Money or Quicken. It supports split transactions, account management and reporting. The reporting functions are great and very easy to use. It also uses the Contacts Database during transaction editing. Cash Organizer also supports Budget projections based on specific Date. You can also check and see account movement by contacts, category or even project!!!
I believe that the price tag is high, but you get high quality software for your money....I recommend it to everybody
