The crew who are the local Linux Experts, have met with success( ok a little step but hey it's a big thing).

Has managed to get a 'fake kernel' , and toolchain used to build a real kernel.

The 'fake kernel' is just the kernel startup code.

"When I boot it on my BE300 using my modified version of CyaCE (it's in CVS), the screen flickers as expected. so this proves both the bootloader and the toolchain work."

There is still work to be done I am guessing as I am not a Linux guy, but it's the start of the next Good thing the BE can do :)
