dual compact flash

does any manufacturer or will they in the near future, make a dual compact flash card insert that converts it into 2 cf slots for a jornada 548? also does any manufacturer make or plan on making a CF modem / network card as in dual, as well to be used in a jornada 548.

I haven't heard of either one of those - I doubt you'll ever see dual CF on any device other than the iPAQ with a Nexian sleeve.

I didn't see anything in that article about a Pocket PC with two CF slots - can you explain what you mean? And why bother asking if when I respond you simply tell me I'm wrong? 8O

sorry if i seemed to jump down your throat but i just read that site an saw some with them built in even here are some exerpts from the site : "The Casio one is bulky but it is the only one available in Hong Kong with built-in dual slots. It also offers the extra feature of connecting USB devices." "Toshiba and NEC also have dual expansions built-in." . im sorry the site didn't work beacause this site doesnt alow commas in the urls you can read the whole thing is you select and copt the rest of the url.

I think you will find that the devices they have mentioned having dual slots will actually have 1 CF slot and 1 SD slot. I think this is maybe where the confusion comes in.

No it will never happen.

Only the iPAQ has a 100 pin connector for the sleeve that allows for two PC cards or CF cards to be used simultaneously.

Other PPCs make use of one CF/PC card slot and an SD/MMC slot. The SD/MMC slot does not need the 50 pins required for the CF.
