The first soccer game of the <a href="http://www.fifa.com/">2002 Fifa World Cup</a> in Korea and Japan has just begun. Thirty days of great soccer is ahead, and I can't resist skinning my Pocket PC appropriately! <a href="http://www.pocketthemes.com">PocketThemes.com</a> is indeed a great site! Has anyone seen any good World Cup software or sites for Pocket PCs, such as schedule, team information, news, and so on?<br /><br />While on the subject of Korea, I am happy to announce that our book Pocket PC programming book <a href="http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ASIN/0201750791/jasonego">"Pocket PC Development in the Enterprise"</a> (affiliate link) is being translated into Korean and soon released in South Korea! A funny detail with this Amazon-link is that HP (Compaq) Vice President Ted Clark is listed as co-author! I never saw that before, so it must be a very recent update. He wrote the forward, but co-author...!? :-)<br /><br /><img src="http://www.pocketpcthoughts.com/images/fifa_1.gif" />

This spreadsheet is fantastic for keeping up to date with the tables:

http://www.expansys.com/worldcup.asp

It also lists all the games in chronological order.

Good work fellas.

Or check this out for your PC (Unfortunately it doesn't seem to work on PocketIE (Anybody have the thunderhawk browser ?)

Good work fella.

BTW: both this and the previous post are free.

Check out http://www.deltapro.be/WorldCup2002/

It's a complete database of every game, all teams, players, stats, pictures and match information. The database gets updated after every game with all pertinent information. Then you can login to their site to download the latest database. Unfortunately, it has to be done manually by you, but this is by far the most complete World Cup program I have seen. It will set you back $14.95

Just tried the new Maxingo Channel Portable WorldCup.

Looks like it needs some more work.

For the US soccer fans (too few!):

http://www.ussoccer.com/wcplus/mainframe.sps

The site is O.K., but obviously it has a pro US twist. They do have a T.V. schedule with converted times and channels (for those of us that still can't figure out what time to tune in....)

I only hope we can do better this time. In '98 we finished 32nd out of a possible 32 (for those that don't know how many teams qualify). Then again, at least we were there

Enjoy!!!

Too bad the world can't solve all of its problems with a game!!!

I just wish I didn't have to watch the matches at 4:30 A.M. (nah, recording it just isn't the same..)
