<a href="http://www.fictionwise.com/">http://www.fictionwise.com/</a><br /><br />Want two free eBooks? You can get a 100% rebate back on two titles at Fictionwise right now: a Spiderman book or a Star Wars book. The down side? They're <a href="http://www.mobipocket.com/en/HomePage/default.asp">only available in "secure Mobipocket formats".</a><br /><br />"Fictionwise Launches 100% Rebate Promotion with Credit Card Purchase. With Star Wars and Spider-Man battling it out in the theatres, we thought it would be a fun idea to have these eBooks fight it out as well. Enjoy a 100% Micropay Rebate on Credit Card purchases when you buy either or both of these Mobipocket Secure eBooks!"

I actually don't mind this because I want to support eBooks and am interested in these books (especially for the $9.95 total price) but I don't think they were very clear on this:

Your credit card is charged, and a $9.95 credit is applied to your "Fictionwise Micropay account" which you can use to purchase additional material.

The have a lot to choose from but I just thought everyone might like to know what to expect...

Waitjustasecondhere - that's not honest at all! I saw no indication of this. That's not a rebate then - it's a CREDIT. Deceptive.

I don't see a problem with this.

I thought Fictionwise made it clear where the rebate goes; "Enjoy a 100% Micropay Rebate on Credit Card purchases when you buy either or both of these Mobipocket Secure eBooks!"

Since I'm a regular Fictionwise customer with some pennies sitting in my Fictionwise account doing nothing, I had nothing to lose.

This is a Great deal for Fictionwise customers and those who intend to be Fictionwise customers.

I agree with Jason, its not very clear that its a credit not a rebate. That's a good way to lose a customer's business before they ever even make a purchase.

What exactly is "Micropay" anyway? In any event, it is not a rebate. Sounds like a "macro-screw" if you ask me.
