TigerTools recently released an application suite in the category "Network Security Assessment Software". The suite is called TigerSuite PDA and can be used for "remote scanning, service detection, and penetration testing".<br /><br />The disclaimer is quite interesting, and should interest network administrators: "This software operates as real-time containing modules for local and remote network security testing. This software is sold for information purposes only, to be used for personal and/or corporate security analyses. As with most security analyses tools, without authorization most of the procedures are illegal in the United States and many other countries. Neither the author/developer nor the publisher will be held accountable for the use and/or misuse of this software, or the information obtained."<br /><br />The suite is on the market. Nice, but am I the only one who doesn't like having to buy PocketPC software before I can try it?

I know it's only 14 bucks but still something inside me says "no"... maybe I'm just a cheapskate :oops:

All of these "tools" are making me start to think that a new breed of extra mobile hackers is brewing.... I mean it's going to get to a point that you can drive by a location pick up a wireless connection (via 802.11b) anonymously hack a site using tools via PPC and slip awaywithout being identified, it would be difficult if not impossible to track as tracing would just lead to the access point. Anybody else agree disagree?

I don't mean to appear ignorant, but what exactly does this tool do that the freeware vxutil does not do? :?:

I own vxutil and I just purchased TigerSuite PDA. The difference here is that tiger tools includes a very cool Infra and wireless LAN scanner, a service detector (kinda like nmap -O) plus a neat penetrator. The port scanner actually detected my sqlsvr as well as cisco-fna, tna, and sys which I'm impressed with as my comm desktop utils have failed to identify through filters.
