Not surprised, but still thrilled! It's a great thing that Coca-Cola Bottling gives its nod to Pocket PCs from Symbol Technologies, to say the least. Coca-Cola hopes to "enhance its service to retail store customers and repair service to its vending machines" by equipping its service technicians with Pocket PCs. The Pocket PC in question is the ruggedized PDT 8100, with integrated laser bar code scanning. The Pocket PC solution will also enable sales managers "to take and transmit orders in order to provide faster delivery times and better customer service to its store customers."

One key reason to why Symbol wins these types of huge deals is their excellent service programs. We've seen quite a few of these significant enterprise wins and we will see many more to come.
