That's a heck of a deal on a Pocket PC 2002, even if it is one of the models with only 32MB of RAM. It has slots for both secure digital (SD) and compact flash (CF) type II cards, so adding both memory and peripherals isn't a problem.

Thanks to Scott Savage for the tip.

I went last week to compusa and saw that they are also still selling this one for $299.
However in a search on their website their is no audiovox there anymore, so it looks like toshiba will use their own name in the upcomming models

And don't forget there is a rebate of $50 on top of $299, this bring the price down to $249.

There have been some folks over at Brighthand who are using various deals to get it to $209 , even at $299 it's a rediculous deal, I went and picked one up and what a suprise I honestly love it a whole bunch more than either my Jornada 568 or Ipaq 3835!

When you buy any refurbished Compaq iPAQ Pocket PC from the Compaq Factory Outlet, get half-off a second refurbished Pocket PC of equal or lesser value.

If this is finally what it takes to move you to an iPAQ, then take advantage of this Limited Time Offer while you can!

So, here's how it works. You choose which bundle you want, and at the end of the line you will see the price. For example, for the cost conscience among us, you might go for the H3635/H3635 bundle for $433.

Here are the choices (each bundle includes two iPAQ's):

H3635/H3635 for $433
3765/H3635 for $513.50
3765/3765 for $553.50
3835/H3635 for $643.50
3835/3765 for $683.50
3835/3835 for $748.50

I had seen mention of that rebate, but when I tried to link to it, the link did not work, and then it eventually disappeared from the Web page. That's why I didn't mention it.

You might be able to find it on another vendor's site, though.

The rebate is still availible, but you have to contact the Staples Rebate Center & ask for it to be emailed to you. 1-888-856-9210 is the number to call.

Good Luck!

On Sunday When I ordered the AudioVox Maestro they promised me a $50 rebate that would be good through June. Since I ordered it online I hadn't had the UPC symbol in hand. Now two days later, I still haven't received the product and the rebate is gone, I feel like I was duped by Staples. This is a rebate via Staples' and not an AudioVox, I believe.

If you email staples with your order number they will discount your order to the new 299 price. That with the 40 coupon i posted about dropped it to ~230.

I finally received the rebate forms. It took 5 calls & 4 days, but $50.00 is $50.00.

 The Staples Web Site no longer lists the Maestro. I hope everyone had a chance to order.

Didn't get the rebate off the Staples website? No worries! Just go to your local friendly Staples store, and ask THEM for the rebate form. My local store had FOUR stacks of the rebate forms. And they are indeed good until something like June 16th. Several others have called the number on the form and been told it will still be honored.

I ended up getting the Maestro for $219, and snatched $90 worth of a 3-piece luggage set as well, and free overnight shipping on all of it to boot. The box was as big as me!

Check around at Brighthand for the coupon codes, as well as other codes for buy something - get something free.

Very happy w/ the Maestro. Also makes a great flashlight in the dark, heh.

Anyone know of an inexpensive 802.11b CF card for PPCs? Need one, going back to school in the fall, and the campus now has WiFi access all over the place. Rochester Institute of Technology (rit.edu) if you're curious. Don't want to pay $120-150 for a CF card. Those PC Card buggers are only paying $50 now.
