I wasn't sure how to categorize this, but it sounds like an excellent job and I thought I'd post on it. I wonder if we should create a job forum? They're offering Pocket PC Thoughts a placement fee if someone gets the job from reading this site, so I'd appreciate if the successful applicant remembers us on his/her rise to fame. This is also interesting as a news item - I'm 99% sure they're talking about ATI, and we know that ATI has a mobile 3D chipset they want to get into PDAs - and now they're looking for someone to spearhead driver development in the Windows CE environment. Cool!<br /><br /><b><i>Senior Software Engineer for Windows CE graphics and peripherals drivers - Toronto, Canada - GREAT COMPANY! While this position is way out of my league (I am more aof a high level support specialist, with Management BG) this soounds like a great opportunity for the right person. Jason I think it is a great thing that you posted this. I for one would love to see Technical Job postings here. The analysts are saying the economy is coming back, but there is no sign of that in my neck of the woods.

Absolutely. Could people "subscribe" to the forum so any new threads (presumably job offers) would automagically be delivered to their inbox, sort of like thread monitoring, but in this case, forum monitoring.

Pretty sure this is ATI.

They were showing off their Imageon 100 at CES this year. I got a closed door demo, very hot.

Could Matrox too. They do R&amp;D and drivers in Markham. I met up with a Matrox at GDC, but I did not have time to get info from him (re: new desktop cards and mobile plans). We were too busy trying to score AMD shot glasses (I got six).

Either way, this is a cool job. Toronto beats San Jose any day, and that is tough for a native Calgarian to say.

A bit of a coincidence as I'm currently thinking about leaving the UK and working in Canada for a while. (Especially Vancouver so I can go snowboarding in Whistler at the weekends.) Pity I'm not an embedded C programmer!

Don't want to get too off-topic but can any of the Canadians tell me what the IT job market is like in Canada at the moment.

Fred [VB, ASP(.NET), SQL Server, C# if anyone wants to offer me a job!]

I think they are looking for top notch repairmen for that thing in your avatar.

Jason

I think you have a great idea. You have a very diversified group of people coming to this site. I'm sure there are a great many people on both sides of the fence... looking to hire and looking to be hired.

Who knows you might even find a real job :D

Somebody call Dan East! ( I don't know what he does for a living now) but with his work on Quake 1 and 2 he would be the guy to get involved with this!
