http://www.gomadic.com/products_ipaqpowersync3800.htm

We got an email a while back from Don Cayelli informing us of a Sync/Charge USB cable for the iPAQ 3800. I'm not an ultra mobile user, and I don't even have a laptop, as evidenced by my wish list ;), so the cradle and charging cable that came with my Jornada is more than enough for me. But, if you have a need for such an accessory, then I'm sure this is a welcome accessory.

Gomadic Corp. of Herndon, VA has recently released their new iPAQ Power Sync cable for the 3800 Series iPAQ PDA. By connecting this 3-foot long cable between the base of the iPAQ and a standard USB port, users can simultaneously recharge their iPAQ 3800 series PDA while auto synchronizing data with their desktop or laptop PC. No bulky cradles, no AC power adapters and no additional software are required. Gomadic has these items in stock and are providing immediate delivery.

For those interested, Belkin.com just releases part number F8Q2000 which is a similar cable but also includes an adapter which allows you to caharge your iPAQ 3800 in your car. I have used this cable and it works like a charm. It has a switch on it, so you can just recharge your pocket pc without activating active sync if you want. I bought mine at Best Buy for $19.95.
