Does anyone if Hotmail is ever going to appear via ActiveSync ?

Microsoft has been appreciating our patience for ages. Are they actually working on it, and if so when might it be out. Anybody know ?

So many questions

:? Confused about your confused emoticon response !!!

Just trying to see if anyone knows when Hotmail will be available via activesync as described in the link below:

http://www.microsoft.com/mobile/pocketpc/hotmail/wwe/default_comp_CD.asp

This has been a 'coming soon' item for a few months.

I don't know that I'd really want the ability to sync excessive amounts of spam to my ipaq

I have Outlook set up to receive Hotmail and then I can sync it via ActiveSync from there.

Thanks for you input Ironguy.

Unfortunately I tried that approach and had a problem because I have a partnerhsip with 2 computers. One at home and one at work. Activesync would not allow thism it suggested that I delete one partnership which I can't do.

I tried pop3hot wish is good.

I guess I'll just wait for Microsoft to launch their version sometime. Which takes me back to my original post.........

Probably eventually. I do know that MSN is actually developing a "client" that is "coming soon" for the Pocket PC & Smartphone platforms. Unsure how that will work with ActiveSync.

Just exactly how do you do that? I've got my ipaq 3955 synching with outlook xp, but activesync will only sync with outlook's inbox (POP3..) not http/web email. From what I've read there is no way to do it, at least not without 3rd party software like hotmail addon, or lookout 2.

Please enlighten.

Cheers,
Joseph

I move my hotmail into my inbox first. This could be done automatically using vba script, but I don't know how to do it. Dumb Outlook won't move Hotmail with a rule. So I sort of cheat.

I have been using Onemail for a few weeks which enables you to read your Hotmail via activesync.
