http://www.syware.com/reflib/holmobil.htm

It's cool to see Pocket PCs being used for concrete gain in the business realm. More ammo against those who claim they only thing they do well is play video and audio well. :-) Hollywood Video was my best friend when I was living in Redmond for two months in early 2000 helping to prepare PocketPC.com for the launch of the Pocket PC. Back then, the devices didn't exist...

"Hollywood Video is now using a new handheld application that puts the entire audit on a Pocket PC. Rather than wrestle with paper, managers tap their way through the audit questions on an electronic form. Drop-down lists and other design elements allow the audit to be adapted for the constraints of the Pocket PC screen without sacrificing clarity or convenience. The program automatically calculates scores for each section of the audit, and assigns an overall grade to the store. Audit data is downloaded from the store directly into an Access database at headquarters, eliminating all paper-based operations and making audit data available for reporting the same day it is collected."

I knew there was a reason I only rent from Hollywood. Thing is I think of the people who work at my Hollywood Video Stores and I pray that the only people getting ahold of the PPCs is the Manager. Cause some clerks have trouble with a register.

By the way Hollywodd is having great deals on preowned games!
