Will LOOX support the GSM standard?

I almost bought a SX45, but luckily I saw the LOOX. I would like to know if it wil support GSM mobile standard and also if I can use it without the earpiece. Any help is highly appriciated and a hint on price and availability too.

The loox will have the option of adding a GSM module which will allow it to work with GSM cell phone carriers such as Cingular Wireless and Voicestream. Cingular being much much larger of a company and handling the most data in the United States. It required purchases separately.
